My Story
My passion for piercing and body modification started early — I had my first lobes pierced at just 18 months old (with a gun, unfortunately!) and had them redone properly when I was 8. By 18, I was hooked — getting pierced by artists from a range of studios and learning everything I could about the craft.
Over time, my curiosity grew into study — I began exploring piercing techniques, anatomy, and safety in depth, alongside earning my degree in engineering. That mix of technical precision and creative expression continues to shape my approach today.
I began piercing professionally in a chain-store environment, but quickly realised that the corporate, production-line approach didn’t align with my values of care, artistry, and individuality. Joining Metalia Studios in Surry Hills reignited my love for the craft — the team’s dedication to quality and their stunning, high-end jewellery reminded me why I fell in love with piercing in the first place.
As my skills and interests grew, I wanted to expand on that foundation — offering implant-grade titanium jewellery as a more affordable yet equally safe and beautiful option, and exploring the art of titanium anodising to create unique, custom colour finishes.
When the opportunity arose to open my own studio in Kaya Garden Tattoo, I took it — creating a space where every piercing is personal, every client is respected, and where quality, safety, and individuality come together through thoughtful curation and craftsmanship.
